My passion for bourbon and whiskey sparked the idea for NEAT. I envisioned a community-driven whiskey app where enthusiasts could discover new bottles, demystify complex terms, track their tasting experiences, and connect with others who share their interest. With the launch of NEAT: Whiskey Finder, we brought that vision to life, and the response from the whiskey community has been incredible.

In our first year, your feedback helped shape NEAT into something truly special. You asked for detailed whiskey reviews, including nose and tasting notes, batch numbers, and a personal wish list. You wanted quick access to distiller stats, a way to learn whiskey terminology at your own pace (enter Winston, our AI whiskey assistant), and real-time insights on the best-value bottles. NEAT 2.0 takes all this feedback and elevates it, solidifying our place as the best whiskey app for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts.

So, What's New In 2.0?

A Modern, User-Friendly Design

We’ve completely refreshed NEAT with a sleek, intuitive design that keeps the focus where it belongs—on whiskey. The new interface makes it easier than ever to explore the bourbon community’s insights, with clear highlights of key details like where a bottle was purchased, its price, and honest user reviews.

It’s now easier than ever to see the data that matters most—Where a bottle was purchased, how much it cost, and what people really thought of it.

While our team is thrilled about the updated look and feel of the app, what we’re most excited about is introducing a brand-new feature: the Trending Page.

What's So Special About The Trending Page?

It’s the quickest way to get a pulse on what the whiskey community is loving right now. From standout values to buzzworthy bottles, the Trending Page gives you real-time insight into what’s hot🔥—and why. It’s your go-to for discovering the best bottles, based on real ratings and real-time trends from fellow enthusiasts.

Now you can know exactly what to look out for on the shelves, and get a pulse on what the community thinks is the best value on the market by looking at what the current best values and trending bottles and batches are!

Best Values

This is probably the feature I'm most excited about, personally. I'm someone who is always looking for the best deal on the market. When I originally made NEAT with my wife, we had a goal to highlight the hidden gems, the readily available bottles on the shelf, that continuously get passed by. Now, with the Best Values feature, you can know exactly what you should be hunting or what you should give a try based on what the community thinks!

Trending Brands and Batches

With so many new brands and batches getting released, it can be overwhelming at times. Now you can easily see what is trending in the community, to spot up-and-comers right away! This makes NEAT the premier app and spot for learning about what is currently trending in the whiskey community!

Trending Nose and Tasting Notes

You can also explore trending nose and tasting notes—and if you’re a fan of, say, citrus notes (like I am), you can easily filter ratings to find bottles that others are picking up citrus from!

It’s now easier than ever to use the NEAT app to develop your palate and discover pours you’ll love. Our goal is to make whiskey accessible to everyone, and we believe this new set of features will help users grow and explore on their whiskey journey.

And last—but definitely not least—we’re thrilled to introduce our new Featured Cocktail experience! Whether you’re celebrating a holiday or just mixing something up for a quiet evening, our team is curating and crafting cocktail recipes for every occasion. Now, you can become a mixologist from the comfort of your own home.

So whether you prefer to sip neat, enjoy it on the rocks, or mix up the perfect cocktail, NEAT is the app for you..
